Please bring a toast related to Breaking Barriers
We all have stories of overcoming a challenge, pushing through a hard time, dealing with the naysayers, or doing something everyone told you, you couldn’t do, but you didn’t listen and you broke that barrier and set yourself free.
Perhaps that barrier shaped your life in some way. Perhaps you're still working to break through. No matte what your journey is, please come share your story with us during your toast. JOYMOB is a choose your own adventure so feel free to go deep or playful, or both with your toast. This is a safe space.

How it works:
We gather around a table and break bread through this potluck style gathering
The host will welcome everyone and frame the topic/theme of the evening
Each guest will give a toast devoted to the theme at some point during the evening
As a special twist — providing a strong incentive for keeping the round of toasts moving — the last one must sing his or her toast
This adds an element of playfulness that shifts the gathering from formal to informal. A safe place, in the company of 15 wonderful humans.
EQUITY PRICING
WE ARE COMMITTED TO OUR WORK BEING AS ACCESSIBLE AS POSSIBLE, SO WE ASK EACH PARTICIPANT TO SELF-SELECT THEIR RATE BASED ON THEIR OWN CIRCUMSTANCES.
TIER 1: $10 - $20
THIS RATE IS FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT:
- Are unemployed or underemployed without a financial safety net; and/or
- Hold identities that are marginalized by society and experience barriers to earning potential.
TIER 2: $25-$35
THIS RATE IS FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT:
- Are employed and/or are able to meet basic needs comfortably; and/or
- Hold identities that can face barriers to earning potential.
TIER 3: $45-$55
THIS RATE IS FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT:
- Are sufficiently financially secure; and/or
- Are in a position to be generous and give so that others may access this program.
