Our Story

True connection starts with improved social relationships

My Story

I grew up in a world of duality where I didn’t know where I belonged. My Lebanese immigrant parents wanted me to ascribe the old world beliefs and practices, while living in the western world. This duality challenged me in the most difficult of ways.

This led me on a lifelong quest for community and belonging.

I started JOYMOB in order to create community and belonging for others and in doing so, I found belonging as well. In 2018 I hosted a dance party in the streets, with a goal to see if I could unite the city through dance. Since then JOYMOB has flash mob’d everything from festivals to farmers markets.

Our tribe grew as we work with private groups and public audiences of 1000+ people creating connection through the experiences we design.

Believe

We believe that human connection through intentional social interactions is essential to a good quality of life. We believe in enjoying time with amazing people doing extraordinary things. So we design experiences that do just that.

We design experiences that leave people feeling happier and more connected to those around them. We do this by creating unique interactive opportunities for people and brands to connect in authentic ways. Our goal is to foster a world filled with Joy, Belonging and Human Connection.

Whether we’re hosting community events, corporate workshops, or branded experiences we believe that true connection starts with improved social relationships.

Play is essential to us

We invite a sense of play into everything we do. Play is essential to everything from our social skills and adaptability to creativity and problem solving. We’ve invited play into our team building experiences that sometimes look like writing exercises, singing, dancing, eye contact, laughter and so much more.

“Particularly in tough times, we need to play more than ever, as it's the very means by which we prepare for the unexpected, search out new solutions, and remain optimistic.” - Stuart Brown Director of the National Institute for Play.
